Where do you source your coffee?

We source premium, single-origin beans directly from smallholder farmers in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania, with a strong focus on partnering with co-operatives as well as women-led farms using regenerative practices.

Is your coffee fair trade or organic?

We go beyond labels. While not all our farms are certified organic or fair trade (certifications can be expensive for small producers), all of our coffee is grown using 100% regenerative and organic methods. Because we source directly, farmers receive better-than-fair-trade prices—without middlemen.

How do you roast your beans?

We roast in small batches right here in Berkeley, California, and ship shortly after roasting to lock in peak freshness and flavor.

What roast levels do you offer?

We currently offer:

  • Light Roast – Bright, floral, gently fruity
  • Medium Roast – Juicy citrus, honey, balanced acidity
  • Dark Roast – Bold, smoky, dark chocolate and wine notes

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. At anytime.

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we’re focused on domestic U.S. shipping only—but we hope to expand soon. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when we do!

How long does shipping take?

We offer a few options:

  • Economy (5–8 business days) – Free for orders over $50
  • Standard (3–4 business days) – $6.90 to $9.90 depending on weight

All orders ship within 48 hours of roasting. You'll receive your tracking information once it's out the door.

Can I send coffee as a gift?

Absolutely! Coffee makes a beautiful, thoughtful gift. You can also add a personalized message at checkout under Special Instructions—we’ll handwrite it for that extra love.

What’s your return policy?

We don’t accept returns on coffee (because it's perishable), but if something isn’t right, please reach out. We’ll make it right—always.

Do you offer wholesale beans?

We do—on a small, thoughtful scale. If you're a café, shop, or gift curator looking to bring bold, beautiful East African coffee to your community, we’d love to hear from you.

We currently offer wholesale partnerships for select blends, with fresh roasting, low minimums, and a shared commitment to sustainability and storytelling.
